ELPASO nets Toyota grant, KGNU publicity

The Community Foundation and its Latino parent engagement program are on a roll this summer, netting vital donations and publicity.

Lary H. Miller Toyota Boulder recently donated $15,000 in support of ELPASO – Engaged Latino Parents Advancing School Outcomes. And The Community Foundation’s Chris Barge recently interviewed two of the women leading this effort on KGNU.

ELPASO is a new grassroots movement creating a critical mass of well-informed and skilled Latino parents who will help ensure that more Latino children arrive at Kindergarten ready to learn. Now in its second year, the program has connected more than 700 Latino parents with the information, skills and resources critical to ensure their children are ready for kindergarten.
