Meet the Staff: Casey Clark

Meet Casey, Community Foundation Boulder County’s Development Assistant! Casey joined the community foundation in January of 2025 and immediately got to work, helping to streamline the work of the development team and the organization as a whole. With a background in the nonprofit sector and experience in project management, Casey felt a strong pull to engage with her community in a deeper way, and we’re grateful she landed at Community Foundation Boulder County! Learn more about Casey, what brought her to Boulder County and the community foundation, and what she loves most about supporting the Boulder County community!

Can you start by telling us about yourself?

While born in Seattle, my family moved to Colorado when I was five years old, and once we got a taste for the sunshine and beautiful mountains, we never wanted to go back.

Running has always been a big part of my life, which influenced my choice of college in St. Louis, Missouri. It was there that I met my husband, and together we traveled the country racing. After graduation, we decided to make Colorado our forever home and have been in the Boulder area ever since. We now have an adorable daughter and an energetic Saint Bernard-Cattle dog mix.

What brought you to the community foundation?

I started my career in the nonprofit sector but branched away to develop my skills in project management. But, after working in several different industries, and as my husband and I started our family, I felt an overwhelming sense that I needed to get more involved within my community, not only personally, but professionally. Soon after starting my search, I found the Community Foundation Boulder County and knew it was the perfect match!

What do you like best about your role as Development Assistant?

My role serves as the bridge between our Development teams and the rest of the organization, allowing me to collaborate across all departments. I also get to work with a lot of data, which I absolutely enjoy!

What’s one thing you want the Boulder County community to know about the foundation’s work?

The Community Foundation is dedicated to serving Boulder County. We prioritize listening to the community’s needs and analyzing data to ensure we’re making the greatest impact possible!

Which of our values most resonates with you and why? (Humanity, Trust, Collaboration)

Collaboration! I believe we truly can’t achieve anything alone, and the more we can come together, the easier we can overcome the obstacles in our way.

What’s your favorite activity in Boulder County?

It’s a toss-up! I love skiing in the winter and road biking in the summer.
