Tell us about yourself!
I’m a born and raised Colorado native who loves sunshine, being outdoors, and spending time with the people I love — especially friends and family. One of my favorite outdoor traditions is mushroom hunting with my mom and grandparents — something they passed down from their life in Belarus before immigrating here over 30 years ago. It’s a small but meaningful part of my life that connects me to both nature and my family. Additionally, I’ve always been drawn to anything creative, particularly hands-on projects like art, fashion, and jewelry-making!
What brought you to the community foundation?
As someone who knew I wanted to go out of state for college, I ended up falling in love with Boulder and the surrounding areas after choosing CU Boulder. When I discovered this internship opportunity over the summer, I knew it was the perfect chance to give back to a community that had welcomed me so warmly. The community foundation’s mission deeply resonated with me, and I’m incredibly grateful to be a party of such a meaningful and impactful organization.
What are you studying in school, and how are you applying that in your internship?
I am studying Business Administration at the Leeds School of Business with a double emphasis in Business Analytics and Marketing. These two areas have taught me to approach my work strategically and creatively. During my internship, I’ve been able to apply a mix of technical and interpersonal skills — from organizing data across different areas of the organization to thinking creatively in support of ongoing projects.
What have you liked best about your internship experience so far?
One of the most rewarding parts has been knowing the work I do directly contributes to the team and the community. But more than anything, the culture here stands out — the team is welcoming and incredibly passionate about the work they do. It sets a high bar for what I hope to be a part of in my future career!
Which of our organizational values resonates with you most and why?
Humanity — I believe empathy should extend to everyone, not just a select few. Leading with compassion creates a stronger, more inclusive community!
What’s your favorite activity in Boulder County?
I love exploring local street fairs, farmers markets, and live music events. One of my favorite traditions has been making time for Band on the Bricks — it’s the one event I never miss, and it always brings me joy!
