This year marks not only Josie’s 21st and final year at The Community Foundation, but also our 25th anniversary of inspiring ideas and igniting action.
We’ve been a catalyst for a lot of good: We helped to build a culture of philanthropy (Millennium Trust, Culture of Giving, Entrepreneurs’ Foundation of Colorado), gave a lot of grant money away ($68 million and counting), and developed tools (such as the TRENDS Report) to help local givers make more informed decisions. We have launched initiatives to lead the community in areas of school readiness and developed pipelines of new leadership.
To honor both the Foundation’s birthday and Josie’s many years of vision and service, we have launched a 25th Anniversary Fund with the goal of strengthening The Community Foundation for the future. The 25th Anniversary Fund will invest in our capacity to elevate our impact to a higher level – and ensure the quality of life we appreciate in Boulder County is accessible to all. The Fund will:
- Support our school readiness work, now and in the future;
- Invest in our capacity;
- Build our ability to be responsive and active leaders on community issues; and
- Honor Josie Heath, whose vision and dedication have built the Foundation to the strong and impactful organization it is today.
